A Rh 2 ( S -TCPTTL) 4 -catalyzed cyclopropanation of a vinyl ketene with a disubstituted diazo compound initiates a stereoretentive, accelerated ring expansion to provide the cycloadduct in good to excellent yields and enantioselectivity.
